robsoftprojects

Welcome to the landing pages for robsoft projects.
I've been a professional software developer since 1991, working with C, Turbo Pascal, C++ and Delphi. Predominantly a desktop and embedded developer, I worked in Delphi for over 2 decades, gradually switching to C# and WPF.

I moved into mobile around the time of the early MonoTouch/MonoDroid frameworks, through Xamarin, Kotlin and Swift, and eventually Maui. About a decade ago I started using ASP.Net and Razor pages for small web projects, and in the past few years I've embraced Blazor (mostly WASM) and more recently React & NextJS.

Away from my main paying work, I've built projects (both free and commissioned) on Raspberry Pi, Ubuntu, Pico-8, Arduino and even the Spectrum Next.

I've worked in the Telecommunications, Banking, Shipping, Finance and Pharmaceutical sectors, and I'm currently working in the Food Production and Factory Automation industry. I've written USB device drivers, incoming telephone call routing/switchboard software, manpower forecasting and planning tools, workforce schedulers, call-centre agent systems, card payment processors, kiosk and point-of-sale systems, various information management systems, various vanity and bespoke line-of-business mobile products ... and even hand-held games.

I've developed software to communicate and control third-party embedded agricultural instruments, reverse-engineering their internal systems and protocols to open the devices up to further modifications, and I've created report-compilation tools for the domestic housing survey market.
